It's an MMO, like a mature version of World of Warcraft. It's pretty brutal and they've put a lot of effort into capturing the atmosphere and vibe of Robert E Howards books. I used to play it a lot before, and still consider it the best game I've ever played. But there were too many gankers (people killing single players in groups), so I got bored with it. Now I'm told there's a lot less ganking and my old guild asked if I wanted to start playing again.
