Gaming on the road

Due to financial cirmcustances I've had to work more and mainly contracts away from home so stuck with hotels over saturated wifi, so gaming at home is limited

Often even the 3g off my mobile is better but not ideal, with my ping flip flopping all over the place

Anyone got any suggestions, for kit that will help...boosters anything ?

you have BT at home or something else?

I rarely don't get a connection to either BT Openzone or BT Wifi with FON in built up areas. I only normally enable the wifi with fon when I know I might need it.

No just got el cheapo plus net at home, it's bt wifi in hotels that often the problem too many people using a network not designed for it and hotels plonked in an area with rubbish cell phone reception so tethering my phone is sub optimal

On the plus side I'll be unemployed in a weeks time so a few weeks of stress free gaming at home no doubt
