Why has Kharnys got a tub of swarfega inside his case!?

More to the point I love the fact he still has the plastic covers over his crossfire / SLI connectors on the graphics card :D Bless ya! :p

I did post some pictures of my rig a while back but here it is again............! My rig is quite a few years old now, but still smashes most of the newest hardware due to overclocking.

Specification:

CPU - i7 920 (D0 version, fully unlocked) -
Stock - 2.66GHz @ ??v
OC - Stable at 4.2GHz @ ??v - Normally run at 4.0GHz. OC of more is possible but I'm just not happy with that amount of volts without a full mobo water cooling kit. Max Temp on all cores of 62c when Stressing CPU and GPU (prime95 & Furmark). All overclocks achieved with HT on.
Mobo - Gigabyte X58a-UD3R - Standard
RAM - 12GB (2x4GB) Corsair Vengeance @ 1600 stock, 1.5v
GPU - MSI HD 5970 2GB (Dual GPU Crossfire card) -
Stock - Core Clock (x2) 735MHz @ 1049mV, Mem Clock 1010
Overclock (what I run at, it is stable higher but I can't remember settings) -
Core Clock (x2) 950MHz @ 1190mV, Mem Clock 1250MHz
Max Temp 68c
In BF3/BF4 temp is around 53-54c per core
HDD - SandDisk Extreme 240GB Sata III SSD
3 x 2 TB WD Greens SATA III 5400/7200RPM
PSU - XFX Pro edition 850w Silver 88% efficiency
Case - Xigmatek Elysium
Water Cooling Setup:
RAD Fans -
Case Fans -
Stock 2 x 120mm Front intake.
Stock Rear 140mm Exhaust
Fan Controller - NZXT Sentry LX for all 5 RAD fans.

The beast that is a Xigmatek Elysium...

I've gone from a dual loop monster to one that is pretty similar to Goatsecks'. I much prefer my new air cooled Beastie to my old water cooler behemoth.

MattyD, mine was a 920 D0 at 4.2GHz and SLI 480s. That's a legendary CPU there mate :)

I know what you mean, with a better mobo I could easily push it much further.

The temps I have and OC were all done on my old loop which had less rads/fans so I could probably smash more out of it. I keep wanting to upgrade my rig but to be honest, I don't need to yet, I love overclocking!
