I have just ordered this seeing as Steph, Fred and Quic were playing it this week. Should be here sometime next week
I've been playing it a fair bit just lately too. Lotsa fun, you HAVE to work together, apart from the last part of parish where you need to just keep running, stop and you die. Still haven't managed to get out of that one alive cos I always forget and stop to help someone and we are very quickly overwhelmed.
Lots of good custom maps and campaigns as well, which I have been downloading.

Yeah I pre-ordered when it came out, played it a fair bit but havent played it for a while. Havent played any of the custom content at all since I played close to launch before the vast majority of the mods and custom maps were available.
On a side note, one of the guys I used to play CSS with was going to make a custom map of Birmingham, and the hotel we all stayed in when we went to a LAN party up there. The guys were walking round the hotle taking loads of video so they could get it just right, dont know what became of it but since the next LAN is next weekend I might have a chat and see if it was ever finished...would be a quality map. The idea was that you'd start off in the hotel and have to fight through the town centre to get to the LAN building for a showdown.
But back on topic, if anyone fancies a game then let me know...I know Obrit also has it as we used to play it together when it came out.

Sacrifice was released yesterday:
"Valve revealed today The Sacrifice, a new expansion for the Left 4 Dead series that will be compatible with both the first and second games in the series.
Along with this new chapter in the zombie survival saga, No Mercy - the hospital campaign from the first Left 4 Dead - will be updated and included for Left 4 Dead 2 players, who can then play through both these campaigns.
The Sacrifice - out in October - tells the story of the last Left 4 Dead 2 expansion, The Passing, from the perspective of the original game's cast. You'll find out how they managed to meet up with Left 4 Dead 2's cast, and at the end, will be able to choose for yourself which of the original cast dies (hence the expansion's name), rather than Valve simply pencilling it in.
The expansion is designed to work with both Left 4 Dead games, so if you've only got one of them, it doesn't matter, you'll be able to download and play this.
A digital comic will begin next month to get everybody up to speed on the events of the campaign. The Sacrifice will be released as free DLC for the PC and Mac, while it will be a paid downloadable for the Xbox 360."
