I've had many conversations with people on TS about what we're drinking and all those people will know that I'm a fan of Whisky (even WhisEy on occasion).
I love my single malts but I also like Spiced Rum and Southern Comfort (which is my 'safe' drink on a night out). I like port but she doesn't let me drink it too much after some rather bad experiences!
So if you've tried something new and want to share the experience good or bad then why not post it here.
I currently have about 60 bottles of booze in my house and no I don't have an issue 'hic.
Here's a quick pic of my current whiskys...
Rear Left - Talisker Skye - Full of smokey goodness!
Second from left - 15 yr Old Glenfiddich from Solera VAT - currently my favourite on there. Very smooth with sweet notes.
Glenlivet 15 & 12 years old - Both good whiskeys but nothing special imo.
Glenmorangie 'A Midwinters night dram' - A very full flavoured whisky that is very 'in your face' and very warming, from a Sherry cask.
De Luze XO - How did this get in there! It's a Champagne Cognac that normally accompanies a cigar that I have once in a while, a brand new bottle in the box behind it.
Strathisla 12 yr old - Meh! About the cheapest bottle of Strathisla you can get and it really isn't as good as the more expensive bottles, still drinkable but dissapointed given that I've tried some of the rare ones.
Far Right corner hidden in blue box - Chivas Royal Salute 100 Cask Selection (no 4). A gift that has yet to be opened, saving it for a special occasion.
There's obviously some other stuff up there that's all pretty standard but enjoyable!
Also dotted around the house...
And I haven't even got to the cocktail cabinet...
I do like my drink, so much so I can assure you that the lambrini in the middle pic is not mine!!
