Hmmm hopefully my PC will run it well. Only thing that scared me a bit is that it is recommending the latest gen of graphics cards and I'm still packing a ATI 5870 ;p

Yesterday, BF3 UK community manager zh1nt0 recommended 2 GTX580s in SLI for playing on Ultra, though the resolution wasn't mentioned.

Plus, a German gaming site had an article today about the fact that Nvidia is going to release a BF3-optimized driver on the 26th, one day before the beta starts.

I translated the article for you guys: (http://www.gamezone.de/news_detail.asp?nid=102853)

As we learned in a personal conversation,
on September,26th 2011, video card manufacturer Nvidia will release a new GPU driver for the start of the beta of Battlefield 3.
The drivers shall make sure that really all features of Battlefield 3 are properly utilized to the max and hard- and software work together perfectly. Battlefield 3 for the PC is using the most modern DirectX 11 effects like Tesselation which don't necessarily need such a driver but it still shall deliver a little bit more performance in the high-end field.

Rest is blabla.

Why is it the always put minium specs so low when they know that the game won't work on those specs, oh wait I remember it is because people with those specs will buy the game thinking all will be fine and try to play the game for it to crash to desktop each time they start it, just to be informed by EA support their pc is not powerful enough to play it.

I always take the recommended specs as the minimum required.

Yeah m8 but sadly lots of people don't and fall in to the trap, it says that a Geforce 8 will run the game, well I have a 9600GT card that don't lol, so that is bollox for a start, in fact I am running 2 9600GT cards in SLi and it wouldn't run the Alpha, and I am not expecting much difference in the beta and final version hence the reason I need a new card.
